Global coordination is critical to the PSA’s ability to serve national programs, represent USAID’s interests, reduce risks across NextGen partners, operate effectively and strengthen markets to ensure reliable supplies of quality products reach client countries to improve health outcomes. Effective global coordination combines efforts in strategic engagement, coordinated supply, market dynamics, advocacy, communication, data sharing and knowledge management to ensure issues are identified, risks are mitigated, and potential problems are prevented before they occur. Effective global communication ensures that lessons are learned and successes in facilitating more sustainable supply chains are documented, shared, and celebrated. The Director of Global Coordination will be responsible for leading the communication, coordination, and collaboration strategy across the Integrated PSA FP/RH/MCHN Task Order and fostering productive working relationships with key partners and stakeholders at global, regional, and national levels, including USAID, NextGen contractors, other global health funders and procurement agencies, relevant NGOs, and other key international GHSC stakeholders.

From these engagements, identify trends and factors that may impact demand and availability of PSA-procured commodities and communicate on these issues within the PSA and with other NextGen contractors. -Identify and leverage opportunities to share existing market intelligence, demand data and demand forecasts, and supply data and forecasts with NextGen partners and global and regional partners in accordance with the global transparency and information sharing goals of USAID. -Serve as liaison between the PSA’s market dynamics activities and the global partners engaged in ongoing global forecasting, supply planning, and early supply chain risk identification and mitigation, promoting cooperative efforts to enhance market health and sustainability. -Proactively connect with USAID, WHO, UNFPA, Global Fund, and other relevant GHSC stakeholders on policy priorities and updates that may have an impact on use of products, the health of the market, and the operations and performance of the PSA supply chain. -Leverage other funding sources, including government, public and private organizations as well as government to maximize the efficacy of the global procurement initiatives.
