    HealthFitness has an exciting new opening for a passionate fitness professional looking for an opportunity to join our team at one of our premier corporate fitness programs located in GEORGETOWN, KY. This premier program consists of a 43,000 square ft. facility complete with a variety of cardiovascular equipment, a full line of Cybex and FreeMotion equipment, 3,000 square feet of free weights, indoor jogging track, aerobics studio, cycling studio, small group training (PT) studio, collegiate size gymnasium, baby- sitting area, and more!  Additionally, this program includes an outdoor recreation park complete with softball fields, sand volleyball courts, tennis courts, a basketball court, nature trial, and picnic area.  Serving over 6,000 members nearly 24 hours per day, this program incorporates comprehensive health, wellness and recreational programming, incentives and benefits. HOURS FOR THIS POSITION ARE TUESDAY - SATURDAY 10:30PM-7:00AM. 

     

     

    SUMMARY: 

    As a HEALTH FITNESS PROFESSIONAL, you will coordinate, implement and deliver health and fitness programs and services, promotions and outreach activities within this corporate community. In this role, you will be responsible for providing outstanding service to members & program participants to maximize participation, outcomes and customer satisfaction. 

     

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:               

    • Supervises facility; interacts with participants and monitors equipment and participant safety.  
    • Provides individual and group exercise instruction; educates participants on proper techniques to maximize exercise safety and effectiveness.  
    • Coordinates and leads a variety of HealthFitness and program-specific health improvement programs & promotions. 
    • Conducts fitness testing and assessments and advises participants of results; designs individualized programs to meet the participant’s interests, abilities and goals.
    • Researches health & fitness educational topics and identifies appropriate participant educational materials; conducts health education seminars/presentations.
    • Personal trains and designs individualized programs to meet the participant's interests, abilities, and goals.
    • Participates in membership drives to acquire new participants; enrolls new participants and conducts facility, program and equipment orientations.
    • Promotes program offerings and conducts outreach activities to increase participation and re-engage inactive participants.
    • Creates and maintains bulletin boards, newsletters and other marketing & communication materials.
    • Other duties as needed/assigned.

     

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS:  

    REQUIRED: 

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Health Promotion, Kinesiology or related discipline; less than 1 year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Current First Aid and CPR/AED certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute.

      

    PREFERRED: 

    • Proficiency in fitness assessment and exercise prescription.
    • Industry recognized Group Exercise certification preferred and required within 90 days of hire.
    • Personal Training certification from ACE, AFAA, ACSM, NSCA or NASM preferred and required within 90 days of hire.
    • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others.
    • Competency in the delivery of HealthFitness and site-specific programs and services.
    • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including at minimum Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands including project coordination.
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with enthusiasm, initiative and creativity.
