    We are looking for a DIRECTOR, PRODUCT MANAGEMENT.  In this position, you will manage all aspects of products and solutions offered by Health Benefits.  This includes: managing product and solution implementation for new clients, managing product or solution terminations by clients, evaluating, measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of products and solutions, identify opportunities for improvement with products and solutions, developing an product and solution enhancement plan and roadmap (including, without limitation, replaced of vended solution partners, bringing vended solutions in-house, etc.) and executing on that roadmap.

     

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

     

    LEAD AND OWN THE HB PRODUCT MANAGEMENT FUNCTION

    • Improve upon and/or develop a product management framework for all existing and new products and solutions to ensure consistency in management and evaluation for value and effectiveness
    • Develop and maintain product manuals for all products and solutions
    • Manage and improve upon all processes for implementing and terminating products for clients
    • Develop and manage a consistent, data-driven framework for evaluating the value of products and their effectiveness at meeting our and our clients’ needs
    • Develop and manage a process for ensuring that our vended products and solutions are best-in-class and/or the process and criteria for identify new vendor partners to support our products
    • Developing and sharing with internal stakeholders on a regular cadence reporting that describes our products, clients/members with each, utilization, savings, value and other metrics, as applicable
    • Work closely with marketing and other teams to effectively and accurately describe and promote our products and solutions
    • Supporting sales and client management with questions, inquiries or presentations about our products and solutions

     

    DEVELOP PRODUCT RECOMMENDATIONS, BASED ON COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS, FIELD INPUT AND INTERNAL INPUT

    • Work closely with vendor partners to ensure alignment with KPIs, performance guarantees, anticipated savings and value, and other applicable metrics
    • Facilitate cross functional resources to evaluate, develop and test market product enhancement ideas
    • Coordinate rollout and training of new product enhancements to internal and external stakeholders, including collateral, presentations and proposal language
    • Collaborate with Product team for product launch to ensure the appropriate product positioning, promotion, accuracy and timeliness of each department’s respective involvement.

     

    GATHER MARKET INTELLIGENCE

    • Gather health industry trends that affect decision-making of key persons regarding product enhancements. Use this knowledge to guide priority of new product enhancements and determine design approaches.
    • Aggregate and share market and competitive intelligence data with marketing, sales and client management on an ongoing basis
    • Collaborate with Marketing to identify key message platforms for products/services for consistency with value proposition

     

    SUPPORT NEW OR ENHANCED PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION

    • Work collaboratively with the Product team and other stakeholders to identify and implement new or enhanced products and solutions.
    • Collaborate with other business units of the Trustmark Companies on their product development efforts
    • Seek opportunities to leverage broader organizational capabilities to bring those products and services to Health Benefits clients
    • Partner with enterprise business units to create new combined product offerings that fit Health Benefits client needs

     

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or equivalent master’s degree preferred
    • Healthcare, Insurance and/or Benefits Industry knowledge required; Health care payer / TPA industry background a plus
    • 5+ years of relevant product management experience required preferably in the the employee benefits or financial services industry
    • Strong analytical skills, including use of data and analytics tools (MS Excel, MS Access, Tableau) to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of solutions and then provide recommendations required
    • Ability to identify and execute on product enhancements required
    • Strong process improvement skills pertaining to management and measuring of products and solutions required
    • Strong examples of applying the customer experience perspectives into product design required
    • Demonstrated experience building relationships required
    • Proven management and leadership abilities required
    • Superior written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to interact and collaborate with all levels of associates in the organization required
    • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as a high degree of creativity, flexibility and self-direction required
    • Resourceful in the ability to identify and obtain new sources of information required
    • Ability to work independently, problem solve, and make decisions with limited supervision required
    • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate and manage projects in a deadline-sensitive environment required
