PsyPhyCare , a division of Business Staffing of America, Inc., is seeking to contract with a PB Medical Biller to support the professional billing and revenue cycle operations of a healthcare facility located in Elgin, ND.
This role is designed for professionals experienced in professional/physician billing, claims management, and revenue cycle workflows. Remote, hybrid, or onsite arrangements may be available depending on facility requirements.
The PB Biller will process professional claims, review provider documentation, manage denials, and ensure accurate and timely billing for physician and outpatient services.
The contractor will support a hospital, clinic, or multi-specialty medical setting with diverse professional services and billing needs.
This assignment is onsite and located in Elgin, ND.
Full-time schedule
Standard business hours, Monday through Friday.
Specific shift details will be discussed during screening and onboarding.

The PB Biller will perform duties including, but not limited to:
Prepare, review, and submit professional claims to insurance companies.
Verify patient insurance coverage and resolve eligibility discrepancies.
Review provider documentation for coding and billing accuracy.
Post payments, adjustments, and denials in billing systems.
Monitor claim status and follow up on outstanding balances.
Investigate and resolve claim denials, rejections, and underpayments.
Submit corrected claims and appeals when necessary.
Ensure compliance with payer guidelines, CMS requirements, and HIPAA standards.
Communicate with patients regarding account balances and billing questions.
Coordinate with coders, front office staff, and clinical teams to resolve billing issues.
Maintain accurate billing records, reports, and documentation.
Participate in required training, system updates, and revenue cycle task, and improvement initiatives.

High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Certificate or coursework in medical billing, professional billing, or related field (preferred).
North Dakota CAW experience (minimum ~3 months).
Minimum 1–2 years of professional/physician billing experience in a healthcare setting.
Strong knowledge of professional billing procedures, payer rules, and insurance guidelines.
Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS codes, and medical terminology.
Proficiency with EMR/EHR and billing software (Epic, Athena, Meditech, etc.).

Must maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies.
Requires use of standard office equipment including computers, phones, and billing platforms.
Ability to work in a very small team (currently two staff, one off Mondays, one off Fridays).
