As an Installation Tech 1, you will be responsible for assisting in the successful installation, configuration, and testing of technology systems at client sites. Your primary objective will be to assist in the seamless integration and functionality of hardware, software, and networking components, meeting client specifications and industry standards. You will work closely with Lead Techs, Install Supervisors, and clients to deliver high-quality installations and provide exceptional customer service.

Installation Tech 1 is a position within the field of physical security and structured cabling. This role requires a certain level of experience and knowledge in these areas.
Physical security refers to the measures taken to protect people, property, and information from unauthorized access and potential threats. It involves installing and maintaining security systems such as surveillance cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems. A basic understanding of these systems, their components, and how they work is essential for an Installation Tech 1.
Structured cabling refers to the installation and maintenance of the network infrastructure within a building. This includes running cables, connecting devices, and ensuring proper data flow and communication throughout the network. Knowledge of different types of cables, connectors, and network devices is necessary for an Installation Tech 1.
In addition to expertise in these areas, an Installation Tech 1 should demonstrate a drive to perfect their skills and achieve higher levels of technical proficiency. This role serves as a stepping stone towards becoming a Tech 2 and eventually a Tech 3. Therefore, self-motivation and a desire to continuously improve and expand one's knowledge and capabilities are important traits for an Installation Tech 1.
Education and training in the field of physical security and structured cabling may be necessary to be considered for this position.
