    We are currently seeking a mid-level ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER to join our dynamic team in our Environmental Services Department in our PORTLAND, OREGON OR VANCOUVER, WASHINGTON regional offices. The Environmental Engineer will be working with a multidisciplinary team in planning, design, and construction management of their stormwater, industrial compliance, contaminant mitigation, and wastewater projects.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

    • Project and task management, preparing technical reports, support and execution of environmental compliance and construction projects.
    • Manage preparation and technical review of environmental management plans (SWPCP/SWPPP, SPCC, ASPP, etc.).
    • Develop plans, specifications, and engineer estimates for stormwater treatment systems, wastewater treatment plants, or contaminated media mitigation (soil, sediment, vapor and/or groundwater).
    • Secure permits for construction projects through local authorities and state jurisdictions.
    • Assist with preparation of proposals, personnel supervision, and staff development/mentoring in technical areas.
    • Project and task management, including scheduling, cost estimating, and budget/cost tracking.
    • Manage client expectations and maintain routine communication with clients and regulatory agencies.
    • Conduct site visits and provide data analysis as needed.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • An engineering or science bachelors degree and 8 years of experience, with at least 3 in environmental compliance
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office products; AutoCAD, ArcGIS, or hydrology modeling capabilities are a plus
    • Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to effectively interact with clients, regulatory agencies, field operations, technical staff, and subcontractors
    • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

    AN IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THIS POSITION WILL HAVE DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE WITH:

    • Oregon and/or Washington PE or EIT on track for licensure within 12 months
    • Demonstrated experience managing and executing environmental/remediation/civil construction projects
    • Industrial facility permitting and environmental compliance
    • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training certification or ability to obtain upon hire
