    PBS Engineering and Environmental Inc. (PBS) is a regionally distinguished and growing engineering and environmental consulting firm in Oregon and Washington. Founded in 1982, our 200-plus person firm has a history of successfully serving major clients throughout the Pacific Northwest.

    As a leader in providing consulting engineering services in the Northwest, we are currently seeking a qualified individual for the following open position in our Portland, OR office: 

    STRUCTURAL PROJECT ENGINEER

    The successful candidate will contribute to project teams that deliver the infrastructure that enhance quality of life and economic opportunity.  Interactions with senior project managers, clients, contractors, and owners will provide the experience and insight to develop the next phase of your career.  Our supportive environment and small-company culture will enable you to be recognized for your good work and for the contributions you make to the success of a company you can be proud of.  As you plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work, you will hone the skills that create successful consulting engineers.  You will direct the work of junior engineering and technical staff and help foster an enthusiastic group dynamic.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
    • Professional Engineer (PE) license
    • Pacific Northwest experience in one or more of the following areas: buildings, bridges, marine structures, and/or industrial structures
    • 8+ years of progressively responsible structural design experience
    • In-depth knowledge of design codes applicable to your experience
    • Above-average written and verbal communication ability
    • Proficiency with structural analysis and design software

    AN IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THIS POSITION WILL HAVE:

    • Master of Science in Civil Engineering (MSCE)
    • Structural Engineering (SE) license
