    We are currently seeking to add a full-time MARKETING ASSISTANT to our team in VANCOUVER, WASHINGTON, or PORTLAND, OREGON. 

    WORKING WITH THE PBS TEAM

    The PBS Marketing team includes a mix of creative and business-minded professionals working together to win new business and serve existing clients by promoting PBS’ wide range of engineering and environmental services through writing, graphic design, communication, and collaboration. Our team not only produces competitive proposals, but we also create teaming opportunities with architects, contractors, and partner firms; offer public involvement services to help private clients and public agencies connect with their stakeholders; and provide creative services internally and externally, including graphic design, website management, video production, and social media curation. 

    To help us follow our many avenues for growth, the PBS Marketing department is looking for a self-directed, team-oriented individual to build on their layout, writing, and business skills with our energetic, innovative, and inclusive team. 

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist marketing coordinators in the proposal process, including participating in go/no-go discussions; kick-off calls to discuss assignments and schedules; proposal layout; gathering input from technical staff; assembling and submitting/delivering completed proposals; and performing post-proposal clean~~-~~up and data entry.
    • Support proposal efforts, including setting up/participating in positioning efforts (meetings, research, writing, data entry).
    • Support preparation of and timely responses to roster solicitations.
    • Coordinate with and secure subconsultant marketing materials for teaming pursuits.
    • Maintain project, resume, and client information in customer relationship management (CRM) system.
    • Support sector marketing, public involvement, events and conferences, creative services, and business development activities.
    • Assist with the scheduling, planning, and recording of meetings.
    • Fulfill other administrative tasks as needed.

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Degree, certification, or equivalent experience in communications, marketing, business, graphic design, or a related field.
    • Willingness to uphold and extend PBS’ belonging and equity values and initiatives.
    • Experience with Adobe InDesign (Creative Cloud knowledge a plus).
    • Developing layout abilities for assisting with proposals, presentations, social media, website, and public involvement materials.
    • Foundational writing and editing abilities.
    • Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint.
    • Availability for occasional event support during non~~-~~business hours, e.g., community open houses in the evening or weekend.
    • Solid organizational, multitasking, and prioritizing skills with a strong attention to detail.
    • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines while remaining professional, responsive, and cooperative.
    • Desire to work both independently and as part team, including Marketing team members, engineers, technical staff, and leadership.
    • Ability to work in-person or hybrid (a mix of in-person and remote), working from the PBS Vancouver or Portland office 2 to 5 days per week.
    • Ability to travel between Portland and Vancouver offices occasionally for related tasks.
    • Openness to learn, navigate, use the Deltek Vision system.
