As a leader in providing consulting engineering services in the Northwest, we are currently seeking a qualified individual for the following open internship position in our Portland, Oregon office: 

CIVIL ENGINEERING INTERN

Interns in this position function as a design team member in a civil engineering field, such as site development, residential development, traffic engineering, and transportation engineering. In this role, our Civil Engineering Intern will perform civil engineering design work in a team environment working with other engineers, project managers, and PBS staff within other service disciplines.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Assist with civil engineering design tasks associated with municipal public works projects and private development projects;
• Participate in site reconnaissance and field surveying tasks;
• Maintain active communication with project managers;
• Other duties as may be assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Flexibility and creativity in project approaches, and openness to learn and develop
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to work in fast-paced, collaborative team environment across multiple disciplines and project types
• Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D software is desired
