PBS Engineering and Environmental Inc. (PBS) is a regionally distinguished and growing engineering and environmental consulting firm in Oregon and Washington. Founded in 1982, our 200-plus person firm has a history of successfully serving major clients throughout the Pacific Northwest. 

As a leader in providing consulting engineering services in the Northwest, we are currently seeking a qualified individual for the following open position in our Portland, Oregon office: 

STAFF STRUCTURAL DESIGN ENGINEER

The successful candidate will contribute to project teams that design and analyze structures that provide the infrastructure for our communities and will perform engineering design duties while learning to be a complete consulting engineer.  Our multi-discipline firm offers multiple career paths and a variety of project opportunities.  Enthusiastic, curious, and motivated employees are rewarded with challenging, interesting, and satisfying experiences.  Our small-company culture will develop you as an individual, as a team member, and as a leader.  

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
• FE certificate or PE license
• Pacific Northwest experience in one or more of the following areas: buildings, bridges, marine structures, and/or industrial structures
• 3 – 7 years of structural design experience
• Knowledge of applicable design codes
• Experience with structural analysis and design software

AN IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THIS POSITION WILL HAVE: 

• Master of Science in Civil Engineering (MSCE)
