    PBS Engineering and Environmental Inc., is a regionally distinguished and growing engineering and environmental consulting firm in Oregon and Washington. Founded in 1982, our 230-plus person firm has a history of successfully serving major clients throughout the Pacific Northwest.

    As a leader in providing consulting engineering and land surveying services in the Northwest, we are currently seeking a qualified individual for the following open position in our Walla Walla, Washington, office:

    SURVEY CAD TECHNICIAN

    This position will require AutoCAD experience on survey-related projects. Experience and familiarity with Civil 3D and Carlson would be considered a plus. The candidate must work well with survey and engineering staff, have strong organizational skills, and exhibit excellent communication skills. A strong interest and ability in mathematics is a requirement.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

    • Download and process field data in AutoCAD, Civil3D, and Carlson.
    • Prepare survey drawings at direction of PLS for Plats, Boundary Line Adjustments, Records of Survey, exhibit maps, topographic and boundary surveys, and ALTA surveys.
    • Perform stakeout calculations for survey field crews.
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
    • Perform deed and survey map research.
    • Job responsibilities may require occasional fieldwork associated with land surveying duties, but the position will primarily be in-office work.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Experience as a Survey Technician is desired but not required for this position.
    • Proficient in AutoCAD.
    • Knowledge of surveying equipment preferred but not required.
    • Valid driver's license and clean driving record with the ability to be insured by our auto insurance.
