    PCBA Design Engineer

    Direct Hire | $90,000 – $100,000 | Chanhassen, MN

    We are seeking a PCBA Design Engineer to design, develop, and support printed circuit board assemblies used in demanding industrial and embedded applications. This role combines schematic design, PCB layout oversight, component selection, and close collaboration with manufacturing to deliver reliable, high-quality electronic assemblies from concept through production.

    You will work cross-functionally with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are robust, manufacturable, and perform reliably in real-world industrial environments.

    PCBA Design Engineer Responsibilities:

    • Design and develop schematics and PCBA architectures for industrial and embedded systems
    • Select electronic components with consideration for performance, availability, lifecycle, and cost
    • Review and support PCB layout for signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal performance
    • Collaborate with firmware and mechanical engineers to ensure system-level integration
    • Define and support DFM, DFA, and DFT requirements
    • Create and maintain design documentation, including schematics, BOMs, and test procedures
    • Support prototype builds, board bring-up, debugging, and validation testing
    • Support engineering changes and continuous improvement efforts for production products

    PCBA Design Engineer Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (required)
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience designing printed circuit board assemblies
    • Strong schematic design experience using Altium
    • Analog and digital circuit design
    • Power electronics and signal integrity
    • Microcontrollers, sensors, and common communication interfaces
    • Experience with industrial controls, automation, or motion control systems
    • Familiarity with EMC/ESD mitigation techniques
