    Primary Objective

    Under the supervision of the Facilities Director, a Facilities Staff - Supports the Facilities program through assisting in holding a standard of program excellence, continually striving for personal spiritual growth aligning with the Center’s goals, mission, vision, values, and the 5R’s culture.

    Job Summary

    Facilities Staff: The Facilities Staff - will complete the chemical checks on all three pools, perform minor adjustments to the pools, maintain the building, pools, tennis courts and some custodial tasks daily. As needed, they will perform other Facilities Projects as assigned by the Facilities Director.

    Staff Member: Establish, maintain, and strengthen collaborative working relationships with other PCC and Center staff. Actively participate in organization-wide activities as required (i.e. team meetings, mandatory program bonfire meetings). Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Facilities Director.

    Competence

    Hours: Monday - Sunday, 20-29 hours per week. Hours may vary.

    Education: Minimum of high school degree or equivalent.

    Organizational skills​: Ability to be on time, be energetic, well rested, focused, remember details, dress in proper attire; take initiative, follow through with people, meet deadlines and make sure things get done.

    Communication skills​: Strong communication skills; good listening skills with the ability to empathize and problem solve. Attend weekly meetings.

    People skills​: Personable, friendly, asks questions, takes a genuine interest, remember names and other details. Interacts respectfully Members and Staff.

    Team Skills​: Able to work cohesively with a team and collaborate. Look for the best in teammates of all levels of employment. Manage conflict immediately, respectfully and directly, build and nurture long-term relationships in a dynamic environment; maintain high level of productivity, professionalism, and confidentiality regardless of how busy or slow the work day is.

    Leadership​: Ability to lead by example regardless of employment level,

    Knowledgeable: Understands the Center's mission, vision, values.

    Integrity: Honest, follow-through, teachable, accepts personal responsibility, accountable.

    Sports ministry​: Passionate about fitness and using sports to build communities that love God and love others; aligns with the mission, vision, and values (Competence, Character, Culture, 5R’s).

    Reputation: Prioritize, build and help strengthen PCC’s relationships with the Redwood City Community.

    Adaptability: Able to take make quick decisions and persevere in difficult situations and/or circumstances. Staying composed when faced with conflicting priorities. Willingness and ability to take on new and existing tasks and projects.

    Physical Requirements

    This job requires a person to be outdoors for the majority of the time. Protective equipment for sun exposure is mandatory (sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, etc.)

    Must be able to crouch, bend, stand and move around for hours at a time.

    Must be able to lift and transport up to 50 pounds of equipment
