    Job Summary:The Site Leader is responsible for the overall PE+ Program success at their assigned school site. The Site Leader’s primary duties include:

    Leading and developing the leadership abilities of a team of 3-4 PE+ Coaches

    Achieving the program objectives and goals for their assigned school site

    Developing and managing a successful partnership with their assigned school site’s principal, administration, teachers, and parents

    Maximizing the PE+ Program community impact by working with the PE+ Program Director and other Site Leaders to continually improve the overall program effectiveness

    Job Description:Under the supervision of the PE+ Director, the Site Leader will be responsible for developing the leadership abilities of a team of 3-4 PE+ Coaches, relationships and the overall satisfaction of the stakeholders, coordination, implementation, and administration of PE+ at their specific school site. The specific duties of the Site Leader include program development and management, participation in staff development, and offsite collaborations. S/he will provide a safe, nurturing, and well-supervised PE + program at their school site; Will be the liaison with coaches, principal, school admin, teachers, students, and parents. In addition, the Site Leader is responsible for the collection of program data for metrics measured, providing reports for contract compliance, and assisting with administrative support.

    A Site Leader’s ability to establish authority through leadership, communication, and most importantly patience, will be required in giving coaches who will provide PE+ to our students the stability and nurturing atmosphere they need to succeed. Additionally, staff recruitment and development, training, scheduling, and reviews to ensure their assigned program’s staff excellence, service excellence, and operational excellence as well as alignment with PCC and Center’s goals, mission, vision, values, and the 3R’s culture.

    Requirements:

    High school degree

    TB Testing

    August-June, Work Monday-Friday, 8am-2:45pm

    Physical Requirements:

    This job requires a person to be outdoors for the majority of the work daytime. Protective equipment for sun exposure is mandatory (sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, etc).

    Must be able to stand and move around for hours at a time.

    Must be able to lift and transport up to 30 pounds of equipment.

    This job requires the setup and breakdown of equipment throughout the day.

    Be able to demonstrate proper form for exercises and skills based on the PE+ standards.

    Provide energy and enthusiasm on a daily basis.

    Program Development & Implementation:

    Ability to engage, equip and empower a team of 3-4 direct reports to implement fun, engaging developmentally appropriate activities through the PE+ Curriculum across all classrooms.

    Responsible for immediately reporting and documenting any and all injuries or incidents to the PE+ program and school site.

    Maintain cleanliness and up-to-date inventory in program areas; including the upkeep of the equipment and facility in an acceptable manner and the set-up and breakdown during the program day.

    Communicates with direct reports (including subs), site administration, staff, parents, and school administration on a regular basis.

    Communicate and stay up to date with PE+ program and school site calendar together with the team that includes a variety of educational, enrichment, and recreational activities.

    Develop rapport and build positive working relationships with direct reports, faculty, staff, students, and PE+ community.

    Works with PE+ admin, team, principals, and teachers to implement programs that reinforce program success.

    Ability to oversee all classrooms’ activities, monitor safety and participation, oversee curriculum activities and actively support and empower the coaches during class sessions.

    Communicates effectively and in a professional manner with direct reports (including subs), school administrators, school staff, students, and parents on a regular basis regarding program activities and all other stakeholders.

    Staff Development:

    Develop leaders who develop leaders who develop leaders: Supervise, train, mentor, coach, support, and manage your direct reports (including subs) so they can develop their classrooms in the program at the site.

    Assist in program’s staff recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, leadership development, structure, and staff reviews to meet PE+, the Center, and PCC’s leadership development goals and human resource requirements.

    Maximize program staff contribution towards achieving the PE+ mission, vision, and values, and the 3R’s culture (Reputation, Relationships, Reflect).

    Assist in leading program Bonfires and Campfires.

    Conduct biweekly firesides with direct reports.

    Provide monthly goals to support site staff as a contribution to professional development in line with the objectives, policies, and procedures of the organization.

    Provides performance management, feedback, and timely performance evaluations.

    Staff Member:

    Establish, maintain, and strengthen collaborative working relationships with other PE+School sites especially other Site Leaders and coaches.

    Support and implement continual improvement processes for program communications for staff, partners, and communities.

    Administer and enforce PE+ and School policies and procedures.

    Actively participate in organization-wide activities as required (i.e. staff retreats, team meetings, trainings, etc.).

    Fulfill other duties as assigned by the PE+ Director.

    Qualifications:

    Bay Area resident

    A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience (must include experience in management or a relevant field)

    Proven ability to engage, equip, and empower groups of 3 and/or more direct reports

    Ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships with the team, peers, school staff, students, and parents

    Excellent written and verbal communications

    Passion for working with kids and fitness

    Self-starter

    Excellent organizational and time-management skills

    Ability to work nights and weekends as required

    College degree preferred
