Field Operations Manager
Position Overview:
The Field Operations Manager plays an integral part in the organization as they ensure smooth operation of all company procedures in the field environment. As a part of the field leadership team, the Field Operations Manager works directly with the District Manager and Store Leadership to plan, oversee and coordinate day-to-day activities to improve effectiveness, productivity and performance. The ideal candidate must poses competencies in business acumen, operational compliance tactics, strategic thinking, prioritization, time line fulfillment, strong written & verbal communication, relationship building & influencing, and solution orientation.
Responsibilities:
Vets future incumbents through internal and external requisitions for current and future Field Operation Representatives and Field Operation Manager positions
Train and supervise Field Operation Representatives and Field Operation Managers
Monitoring and analyzing Field Operation Representatives’ performance metrics to ensure effectiveness and creating a strategy for improvement
Drive performance in all operational items through communication, recognition, training, store observations and accountability measures
Analyze and provide reporting to upper management and store leaders to ensure fiscal responsibility
Work collaboratively with District Managers to ensure execution of Standard Operating Procedures within the organization and per T-Mobile guidelines
Partner with District Managers and provide direct support to align on logistics for operational succession planning initiatives within their home district
Research new technologies and alternative methods of efficiency
Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures based on reporting analysis
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure business goals are met
Conduct risk assessment analysis to anticipate future risk factors and strategize plan to mitigate operational losses
Champion a culture of integrity and self-sufficiency within stores and district by maintaining sustainable processes and procedures
Identification of relevant resources for identified operational needs
Attend district and regional meetings to develop quarterly business plans and collaborate on priorities and needed strategies to respond to the business needs
Participate on internal project teams as assigned, providing relevant field feedback on operational gaps and execution plans
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or work equivalent
3+ years of retail store environment or related leadership experience
Must have reliable transportation
Strong written and verbal skills. Expresses written or verbal ideas, thoughts or facts in a clear, convincing and organized way
Organizational, time management and leadership skills are required.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Ability to problem-solve and leverage negotiation skills to reach sound analytical outcomes with key business partners
Able to collaborate with business partners to identify specific factors beyond compliance that contribute to a change in performance
Understanding of performance management and coaching techniques
