    DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS, WE HAVE BEEN TASKED WITH HIRING A MASSIVE TEAM TO ASSIST ILLINOIS RESIDENTS IN APPLYING FOR AND UNDERSTANDING THEIR STATE BENEFIT OPTIONS. IF YOU ARE COMPUTER SAVVY AND ENJOY HELPING PEOPLE, THIS POSITION IS FOR YOU!

    THIS POSITION IS FULLY REMOTE (VIRTUAL), AND WE NEED PEOPLE TO START ASAP.

    • Due to this project being for the State of Illinois, you MUST be a current resident of the state to be brought on board. Non-residents will not be called for an interview.

    JOB SUMMARY

    • Provides customer service and helps resolve issues by offering solutions or transferring to correct departments or provide explanations and available options.

    • Must be able to work assigned schedule, which may include weekends.

    • Health benefits available after first 90 days.

    • W-2 contract employment - no PTO.

    GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Provides consumer information about state benefits and health services. Documenting consumer information for federal and state benefits. Direct consumers to local and state assistance throughout the state of Illinois.

    • Ensures full customer satisfaction and maintains a friendly, helpful demeanor.

    • Identifies and prioritizes problems and issues related to fundamental services.

    • Maintains close contact with the customer.

    • Ensures that appropriate changes were made to resolve customers' problems.

    • Refers unresolved customer issues to designated departments for further investigation.

    • Keeps records of customer interactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as actions taken.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent

    • Experience: 3 years+ call center experience

    • 3 years+ using a computer in a work environment

    • Be a resident of Illinois

    • Active listening
