    JOB SUMMARY

    Under the leadership of the Company Operations Director with a dotted line to the Human Resources Department, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will support recruiting efforts to find and place top talent inclusive of each company’s Government Contract positions. The TA Specialist will work with hiring managers, senior management, candidates, and vendors to ensure quality of staffing services; will complete related monthly, quarterly and annual projects and reports; and will support the internal and external recruiting process to ensure fair, consistent and compliant employment practices. THIS POSITION HAS A HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE, 3 OFFICE AND 2 TELECOMMUTE DAYS. IT CAN BE STAFFED AT EITHER OUR RESTON, VA, HUNTSVILLE, AL OR SAVANNAH, GA OFFICE LOCATIONS.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES     

    • Sources hard to fill positions utilizing numerous recruiting mediums such as Clearance Jobs; Indeed; LinkedIn, etc.
    • Achieves staffing objectives in various ways including, but not limited to, recruiting, and evaluating job candidates, advising managers, working with hiring managers to determine requisition requirements, posting jobs, source and screen candidates, identify qualified candidates, arrange and participate in interviews, ensure candidates meet contact requirements and place offers
    • Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements, contacting recruiters, and using newsgroups and job sites
    • Assist with government contract proposal efforts by providing salary information and qualified candidates as requested
    • Utilize applicant tracking system for requisitions, candidate management and new hire transition
    • Conduct EOE, veteran and disability outreach efforts
    • On-board new employees and review new hire paperwork for accuracy and completeness; and assist with out-processing departing employees
    • Assist with the creation and tracking of employee job descriptions
    • Maintain applicant resume/application file
    • Develop initial new hire employee files
    • Other duties as may be assigned

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associates degree required
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience performing full life-cycle recruiting for a broad range of positions
    • Must have recruiting experience in support of a federal government contactor
    • Experience with Deltek Talent Management system is strongly preferred
    • Demonstrated knowledge and experience complying with OFCCP regulations
    • Experience using traditional and non-traditional sourcing techniques
    • Extensive proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
    • Must have strong written and oral communication skills; excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; and the ability to work within a team environment and independently as needed
    • Must have the ability to speak positively and effectively in a professional manner with applicants, employees, leadership and internal/external customers
    • Must have a valid state driver’s license

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    The physical demands described herein are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Employees must possess the ability to work in a standard office or conference room setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer.

    To visit other company sites, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle and fly in an aircraft, both of which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time. Employees must possess vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas will be required. This position requires an employee to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance; reach, push, and pull drawers and doors open and closed. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
