Summer Intern 2024 - Planning and Evaluation
Provide strong leadership, daily management and oversight of approximately 12 TVCCA Central Kitchen/Commissary staff in all aspects of the production, planning and procurement for approximately 2,000 meals daily, participates in the daily meal production initially and as needed. Responsible for menu planning and development of recipes specific to the aging population and pre-school children. Possess a strong working knowledge and background in food service, large volume food production and daily kitchen operations. Responsible for ordering, working with vendors, inventory and control of processes. Provide oversight on procedures for delivery of food products and supplies to multiple nutrition sites utilizing catering vehicles. Manage and support food service contracts located in Senior Housing facilities. Provide oversight of the daily cleaning and sanitation of the kitchen to ensure all sanitation and safety guidelines are met.
This is an exempt position. The salary listed is a weekly salary of a minimum of $913/week.
