PDG Consulting (PDGC) is a Los Angeles-based software consulting firm specializing in custom Web Application Development, Business Intelligence, and Digital Transformation for the Media, Entertainment and Content Distribution industries. We are seeking a Software Engineer with a solid foundation in object-oriented programming and microservices/distributed systems for enterprise-scale applications. The candidate must be a motivated self-starter and have the ability to operate in a highly collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities:
● Design and develop custom, full-stack, distributed systems for our clients
● Implement clean, lightweight, maintainable code in a test-driven development approach
● Collaborate with other developers, business analysts and stakeholders in an agile environment
● Take ownership and accountability of your work
● Onsite presence at our clients is a requirement for this role and our services
● Ensuring that a healthy, safe, and secure work environment is always maintained and by all staff, in compliance with corporate policies and federal and state regulations
Required Skills:
● B.S. in Computer Science or Engineering
● 2+ years in object-oriented programming and microservices/distributed systems experience
● Self-starter that can operate both independently and as part of a team
● Must work well in a results-oriented environment with the ability to meet project deadlines
● Strong problem-solving skills – must be able to think critically and independently
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills

● Java
● Spring development framework (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud)
● RESTful APIs and web services
● Relational database (RDBMS) and object-relational mapping frameworks
● Experience with multi-tier architectures
