    Job Summary

    The PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) Service Mechanic is responsible for performing detailed pre-delivery inspections, quality checks, light mechanical repairs, and system verifications on new and refurbished coaches to ensure vehicles meet TEMSA standards prior to customer delivery.

    This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities

    Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on new and refurbished coaches following established checklists and procedures.

    Inspect mechanical, electrical, HVAC, brake, suspension, and body systems to ensure proper operation.

    Identify deficiencies and perform necessary adjustments or light repairs prior to delivery.

    Verify installation and operation of all vehicle components and accessories.

    Conduct road tests to confirm vehicle performance and safety.

    Document inspection results and complete all required reports and quality control forms.

    Report additional repair needs to the Service Manager or Foreman.

    Assist with parts installations and minor reconditioning as required.

    Maintain a clean and organized work area.

    Properly use and care for tools, equipment, and company vehicles.

    Follow all safety policies and procedures.

    Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with customers or delivery personnel.

    Participate in service training programs as assigned.

    Perform other service-related duties as directed.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Minimum of 2 years of experience as a diesel, bus, or heavy-duty vehicle mechanic (or equivalent technical training).

    Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.

    Ability to follow Technical Manual procedures and inspection checklists.

    Strong attention to detail and quality standards.

    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

    Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.

    Must be authorized to work in the United States.

    Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug screening.
