    Job Description

    Reporting to the SVP - Communications, this role is responsible for supporting the external communications strategy for the Publicis Digital Experience pillar to include media relations, public relations, marketing communications, and similar functions across both digital and traditional channels.

    This is a tactical role that will require extensive writing and editing of deliverables aligned to the functions outlined above. The ideal candidate will be an outstanding communicator with exceptional writing skills, an ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, and a high degree of tact and business savvy. They will have experience in a complex, matrixed corporate environment, advertising agency, or consultancy and are comfortable working directly with the press and media outlets as well as alongside members of the organization at all levels, from intern to c-suite.

    PLEASE NOTE: This is a hybrid role requiring onsite collaboration an average of 3 days/week. You must be local to the New York City, Chicago, Boston, or Atlanta markets and willing to commute to one of those offices on a regular basis.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Formulate, draft, revise, and edit content and deliverables for distribution through a variety of digital and traditional channels including social media, email campaigns, content marketing, press releases, thought leadership articles, blog posts, executive communications and briefs, and other externally-facing communications intended to support the media relations PR functions for a network of multiple U.S.-based agencies.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to proactively develop newsworthy story angles, pitch stories, and partner with journalists at key media outlets and within priority coverage areas.

    • Stay current on global events, social and economic issues, and industry trends to inform the creation of deliverables.

    • Work directly with internal and external stakeholders to identify communication needs and determine project scope.

    • Collaborate on engaging corporate projects and campaigns that span internal and external touchpoints including executive communications, business strategy, public relations, content marketing, learning and development, diversity & inclusion, HR, and recognition.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience supporting media relations, public relations, corporate communications, or marketing communications, preferably within a complex, matrixed organization, consultancy, professional services, or advertising agency environment.
    • Prior experience working with journalists and media outlets including supporting story pitches and drafting articles for placement in a variety of digital and traditional media outlets.
    • An understanding of how to navigate sensitive conversations with cross-functional teams, executive leaders, and other stakeholders.
    • Familiarity with email marketing tools (Campaign Monitor, MailChimp, etc.) and content management systems.
    • Outstanding written communication skills with an ability to tell meaningful, targeted stories and translate complex topics into simplified, consumable content for a wide range of audiences.
    • An analytical problem-solver with an ability to meet urgent deadlines, manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities, and stay focused, organized, and calm under pressure.
    • An understanding of campaign performance and related analytics to help inform future campaign improvements and efficiencies.
    • Comfortable working with both creative and templated communications campaigns including building newsletters for distribution across entire employee population.
    • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
    • As comfortable collaborating as part of a team as you are working alone.
    • A portfolio of writing samples is required and will be requested as a part of the interview process.

    Compensation Range: $58,500 - $76,500 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
