    Job Description

    PURPOSE:

    The Technical Trainer will be responsible for managing the overall training program nationwide for production and field service. Must be able to interact with all levels of Senior Management, customers, and office personnel to enhance performance, reduce costs, and establish consistency regarding proper training, the daily operation of equipment and proper maintenance.

     

    MAJOR FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Conducts onsite and remote training
    • Utilizing the best in class North America Center of Excellence (COE) for in person activity
    • Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) defined in instructional development plans
    • Provide expertise knowledge of safety equipment training, equipment maintenance and the development/conduct of new hire and employee equipment training
    • Deliver training with full understanding of industry practices, company standards and procedures
    • Produce, evaluate, and review materials for accuracy and relevancy.
    • Conduct and schedule class training for internal employees, third parties providers, and customers
    • Build on current training program and prepare teaching programs
    • Deliver training courses on equipment from entry level to experienced equipment operators
    • Train and monitor employees in the daily operation of the equipment to achieve a successful program
    • Implement and track the completion of company training for team members
    • Implement and conduct proper and successful audits of the program
    • Identify and implement ongoing and/or additional training needs by evaluating the strengths and weaknesses
    • Assist with development and implementation of the company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Service Work Instructions, Installation Manuals, Scopes of Work, and additional instructional control documentation
    • Perform additional related functions as assigned.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with technical training on electrical and/or mechanical products
    • Experience delivering training to technicians or assembly team members
    • Experiences in supporting mechanical and electrical assemblies
    • Experience in developing video and/or manual training plans
    • Experience develop full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, facilitate, monitor and evaluate).
    • Experience designing and developing learning programs across various delivery mediums, including in-person training, remote synchronous training, and online modules
    • MUST be willing to travel
    • MUST be mechanically inclined
    • MUST have electrical knowledge
    • Must have computer knowledge
    • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic so as to be able to work independently and simultaneously on multiple projects.
    • Must be capable of critical thinking and possess the ability to solve complex mechanical and electrical problems

     

    EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Preferred)
