    Job Description

    PEAK is looking for a Product Manager for a Medical Device client in San Jose, CA. The Product Manager will be responsible for managing the portfolio of products including development, commercial launch, maintenance and end of life. Under the direction of the Marketing Director, the Product Manager will; develop plans and activities to ensure delivery to business objectives by continuously analyzing various global market segments and trends, have a deep understanding of the existing market and unmet needs, define marketing specifications, collaborate with the product development cross functional team, identify business development and growth opportunities, determine the strategic objectives, establish strategic plans and execution tools. The position will include travel.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manages product life cycle process and product rationalization across geographies
    • Creates a multi-year product roadmap / pipeline to meet dynamic market demands
    • Provides leadership for project justification during scoping cycles through integrated marketing business plans such as an opportunity and/or SWOT analysis.
    • Supports and partners with commercial organizations in achieving plan and provides guidance on objectives such as market share and revenue.
    • Provides direction, input and clear line of communication to all in-house groups to drive alignment on business objectives and strategy
    • Executes market research activities to drive business platform/portfolio decisions
    • Organizes and analyze data to inform strategic decision making
    • Travels up to 25% of the time to customer sites, study sites, and medical meetings or trade shows as applicable (North and South America, Europe, Australia, and Asia).
    • Provides support for industry meetings and conferences.
    • Works closely with the Marketing Manager to develop collateral to support commercial adaption at product launch
    • Performs other duties as required by supervisor, including supporting other department managers.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must exhibit professional interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Self starter, ability to work independently
    • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
    • Three or more years marketing experience working in the medical device, life science research, pharmaceutical or diagnostics industry

    PREFERRED:

    • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
    • Three or more years experience working directly with physicians
    • Manual dexterity and fine coordination
    • Bronchoscopy and OR experience
    • Prior independent international travel.
