POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: Teen Facilitator
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Lead Program Coordinator and/or Lead In-House Program Coordinator
SUPERVISION: No direct reports
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt, part-time
POSITION OVERVIEW: Teen Facilitators are caring young adult women in High School who want to make a difference in the lives of younger girls in the greater Milwaukee community. Teen Facilitators help plan and facilitate meaningful activities for PEARLS groups. The Teen Facilitator will work closely with the Program Coordinator to ensure that all of the following job functions are fulfilled. Teen Facilitators can also receive personal coaching and participate in trainings to develop their leadership skills and meet their professional goals.
This paid position will begin August 2022 and continue through the upcoming academic school year(s). PEARLS is happy to provide flexibility to work with and around school schedules. Starting rate is $10/hour.

Education and Experience:
Must be at least 14 years of age and enrolled in high school. Must currently have and maintain a 2.5 or better GPA.
Additional Qualifications:
Language /Communication Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure guidelines. Ability to speak effectively before groups of youths, adults, and professionals.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to perform basic high school mathematical operations. Ability to operate and have working knowledge of basic computer software, including word processing.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality. Ability to work with non-judgmental attitude in a population comprised of diversity in gender, socio-economic and ethnic group, sexual orientation, and physical or mental abilities. Ability to work within the parameters of the program and be able to work in an environment where there is frequent exposure to stressful/critical situations. Ability to frequently use standard office equipment.
