    **Public Education & Business Coalition is seeking a part-time **AdvanceEDU Coordinator to support the shared mission and vision of PEBC and AdvanceEDU in decreasing barriers to the profession of teaching that disproportionately impact historically marginalized communities.

    WHAT WE DO

    Public Education & Business Coalition (PEBC) is a Colorado-based 501(c)3 organization that provides professional development services for practicing educators locally and nationally, and operates the PEBC Teacher Residency program that trains well-qualified new teachers for high-needs schools. PEBC's goal is to provide training and professional learning to cultivate highly effective P-12 educators who are dedicated to students' social, emotional and cultural needs as well as growth and achievement. PEBC works closely with practitioners, policymakers, business leaders and other stakeholders to advise the development and implementation of sound K-12 education policy. In our work with educators and as an employer, we adopt an asset-based approach to cultivating a collaborative community of learners.     THE OPPORTUNITY

    AdvanceEDU and PEBC partnered in 2022 to create a sustainable pathway for paraeducators and K-12 involved professionals who have yet to complete a bachelor's degree to become licensed teachers in Colorado with the goal of diversifying Colorado's educator workforce. In this program students will work with AdvanceEDU and its college collaborators to complete a bachelor's degree and then receive priority application status to PEBC's teacher residency program, which is widely considered as the best alternative pathway to becoming a teacher in Colorado.

    The shared PEBC and AdvanceEDU Recruitment Specialist works to build a strong, diverse and sustainable pipeline of students into the AdvanceEDU and PEBC teacher development program. A majority of this position's time will be spent cultivating K-12 relationships, presenting to prospective future teachers, meeting individually with school leaders and prospective future teachers, while working with AdvanceEDU's Student Success team to support individual students enrolled in the pathway.

    This position reports to the Director of Recruitment and Alumni Engagement.

    This is a part time position based in Denver, Colorado in a hybrid work setting.

    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

    Developing relationships with K-12 schools, districts, charter networks, and teacher education programs/resources with the aim towards recruiting staff at those institutions into a teacher education pathway.

    Presenting, tabling and engaging in group settings with prospective future teachers on behalf of PEBC and AdvanceEDU.

    ● Supporting prospective and enrolled AdvanceEDU students in developing pathways aligned with career aspirations in teaching and education.

    ● Working alongside the PEBC Community Outreach and Inclusion Manager to engage and support diverse and international students.

    ● Collaborating with AdvanceEDU Student Success Team to ensure that enrolled students have needed support to successfully transition to the PEBC Teacher Residency Program and then onto a full-time teaching career.

    ● Participating in PEBC Workplace Requirements and Development including:

    • **** PEBC staff meetings, staff learnings, DEI book club with pre-work, PEBC improvement - StratOp team, department meetings, use of Lattice for Performance, engagement, and Growth and impact monitoring, and other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Essential Qualifications :

    Minimum requirements include:

    ○ Bachelor's Degree, ideally in teaching or education leadership

    ○ 2-5 years of experience working in customer service, advising, counseling, sales or related fields

    ○ 1-3 years of experience working with K-12 administrators, counselors and teachers or working in a K-12 is a plus

    WHAT OUR ORGANIZATION IS PROVIDING

    ● The expected starting annual salary range for this position is $38,000- $48,000. PEBC is committed to offering competitive and equitable compensation commensurate with experience and education.
