    Job Description

    Peiseler is a company that was established over 200 years ago in 1819 and now provides rotary tables, trunnions and 2 axis rotary tilt units servicing the automotive, aerospace, mold, energy, medical, tool and precision manufacturing industries. Peiseler LLC provides sales and service support to the North American market. The parent company is located in Remscheid Germany.

    Peiseler LLC located in Grand Rapids, MI is looking for a career minded, self-motivated Field Service Manager to deliver world class service and support to our customers. The Field Service Manager will perform in house and on-site routine services, maintenance, and repair of Peiseler units. The right candidate will have a have a high level of technical aptitude, be competent and able to comprehend complex machinery repair operations and will be able to effectively communicate with customers both verbally and in writing.

    Essential Functions Include: After extensive product training at our manufacturing plant in Germany • Provide in house or onsite service / repair of Peiseler dividing heads. • Ability to effectively communicate (both oral / written) with customers, machine builders and support staff. • Diagnose functional errors or/and mechanical problems and determine the proper solutions. • Perform all in house or on-site repair, maintenance and tests as required. • Produce timely and detailed service reports. • Document processes. • Process and disposition of both incoming and outgoing product / parts. • Generate customer quotes as needed. • Process new orders and track inventory.

    Skills / Requirements: • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications. • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service mechanical equipment. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision. • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job which include near and distant vision, bending, lifting and working in confined spaces. • Positive team player. • Strong analytical, mechanical and problem-solving skills. • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office & Outlook) • Attention to detail. • Desire to learn. • Ability to travel 30% of the time on short notice as needed. • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
