PEMCCO Logistics Services, LLC (PLS), is a leading Delivery Service Provider of Amazon packages in the Hampton Roads area. We are looking for a passionate Operations Associate (OA) to manage the performance of 60 - 125 personnel and be responsible for the successful operations of our growing logistics services company. The successful candidate will have at least 6 months of performing minor vehicle repairs experience, be a team player, dependable, humble, tactful, have excellent communication and computer skills, adapt easily, and possess strong leadership skills (motivate others while holding their team accountable). Summary/Objective The Assistant Operations Associate (AOA) assists in the performance of assigned functions associated with the successful operation and execution of the delivery service capability. The AOA is the communication point for Delivery Associates (DAs) who are on the road delivering packages. Required to handle both emergency and non-emergency situations, receive and relay messages to DAs, and monitor vehicles on the road. Works as part of the delivery team to ensure routes are complete, and packages are packed correctly and safely delivered to the correct customer. Additionally, drives a company provided vehicle for the delivery of packages to residential and business customers as needed. Essential Functions * Coordinate/execute vehicle repairs and estimates. * Execute basic vehicle maintenance/repairs (change tires, signal lights, refill fluids, etc.) * Transport vehicles for repairs or relocation. * Inspect/track vehicle repairs and damages * Routine vehicle maintenance schedule tracking * Track and analyze scorecard data to address negative trends with the applicable swim lane team. * Conduct audits to ensure driver safety and compliant vehicle conditions. * Follow strict safety standards on and off the road. * Assist TMs with package staging & loading. * Provide delivery management & readiness support to TMs using time management and organization skills, and providing proper equipment * Drive and deliver packages as required (for example when a scheduled DA calls out and no other DA is available) * Partnership & Customer Relations Management * Attend weekly meetings as requested. * Perform/develop weekly reporting as requested. * Review performance reports when working in the station to aid in TM performance and company development. * Perform pre-trip and post-trip evaluations on all vehicles. Competencies • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate and build relationships • Successfully prioritize multiple, competing priorities and manage time/workload • Must be able to perform basic desktop computer and tablet operations and have basic knowledge of MS Office products • Must have experience creating and modifying Excel spreadsheets • Must ensure packages are delivered completely and properly by TMs • Must be passionate about satisfying customers • Must be able to operate and navigate a delivery commercial delivery van, 10,000 lbs. or less • Must be committed and adhere to strict safety and quality standards on and off the road • Interact positively and professionally with the customer and the general public while delivering products to customers' homes, retail, and business locations. • Use handheld technology to deliver customer packages, manage delivery progress, and solve obstacles • Ensure delivery vehicles are clean, fueled, and in good operating condition at all times • Able to perform general routine vehicle repairs Education and Experience Requirements • High School Diploma or Equivalent • Valid driver's license • 6 months package delivery experience • 6 months performing minor vehicle repairs Additional Eligibility Qualifications • Special licenses may be required to operate certain vehicles • Maintain overall FANTASTIC delivery rating on the scorecard each week while in this position • DOT qualified or become DOT qualified within 45 days of accepting the position • Always achieve high ethical standards • Proven track record of reliability • Prior experience representing a well-regarded consumer brand with professionalism • Excellent attention to detail with the skill set to problem-solve independently • Self-motivated and able to work in a self-directed environment with an upbeat attitude • Ability to work with and lead a team in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment • Assist in supporting and training team members PLS, LLC is an equal-opportunity employer.
