PEOPLE CREATING SUCCESS is currently hiring direct support professionals in the SANTA BARBARA/GOLETA area to provide support to adults with developmental disabilities in the activities of daily living. JOB DUTIES: 

VARY PER PERSON SERVED NEEDS. SOME DUTIES MIGHT INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Follow the Program Plan of individual including working towards individual goals.
• Fill out all required documentation at the end of each shift.
• Have the ability to perform duties depending on the level of care of individual.
• Will maintain current progress notes and date frequency count on each resident assigned to them.
• Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings.
• Assist with daily living activities depending on individuals needs. These may include:
  • Participating in community events and activities
  • Helping individual make healthy food choices and stick to a budget
  • Providing support with hobbies, studies, and social activities
  • Communicate with other staff and program managers about individual’s progress
• Maintain ability to exercise mature judgment and relate to residents in a warm, caring and non-expletive way

REQUIREMENTS FOR EMPLOYMENT: 

We provide comprehensive training in all aspects of the position, and there are opportunities for advancement including lead staff and management. 

• Successfully pass all pre-employment screening requirements, including 

  • criminal background check, 
  • drug screening 
  • provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States

• CPR/First Aid/AED certified a plus. We provide training if you are not certified! 

• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with proof of insurance if applicable
