Behavioral Health Para Professional
People’s Health Care Connection, LLC is seeking an entry level Behavioral Health Paraprofessional to meet the needs of our client population of children, adults, individuals who have substance abuse problems, who are seriously mentally ill, and/or individuals who have co-occurring disorders. The position is responsible to provide treatment that promote client dignity, independence, individuality, strengths, privacy and choice while respecting cultural differences and demonstrating ethical behaviors. The Behavioral Health Paraprofessional assists children or adults and others with illness understanding and self-management, while providing any necessary monitoring and follow up to determine if the services accessed have adequately met the individual’s needs.
Essential Functions and Duties include:
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
Experience in Behavioral Health
Thorough understand of group dynamics and group process
Excellent therapeutic and personal boundaries and ethics
Ability to perform crisis intervention
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good interpersonal skills and positive energy
Good problem-solving skills
Basic knowledge of local area and community services available to the general public
Emotional maturity and resiliency
Provide thorough and concise documentation of clinical services
State of Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance Card
Current CPR/First Aid card
A dependable vehicle and valid vehicle insurance
A negative Tuberculosis test
