  • Responsibilities

    We are seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team. In this position, you will meet with clients, analyze their mental health status, and develop a course of therapy to address their issues. You may work with clients who have substance abuse issues, depression, anxiety, or eating disorders. You should have some experience with a wide variety of patients and conditions. Our ideal applicant has a master's degree in psychology or social work and a license from the state. Clinical experience is also a requirement.

     

     DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Meet with patients to determine the exact nature of their mental health concerns
    • Provide targeting counseling designed to help the individual overcome their problems.
    • Meet with patients regularly and provide them with the tools they need to overcome their issues
    • Ability to deliver treatment that is customized to meet the unique needs of every patient.
    • Remain knowledgeable of the latest methodologies in counseling to provide patients with the best possible care
    • Refer patients to other mental healthcare providers as necessary
    • Remain warm and engaged through the duration of every patient’s counseling session
    • Provide referrals to patients to other healthcare providers as needed
    • Other duties as may be assigned

     REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a similar field

    • All State Mandated Licenses for practice

    • Previous Clinical experience

    • Must have good working knowledge of the DSM-IV-TR/DSM-V.

    • Must have excellent assessment, psychotherapeutic, and documentation skills, and be good at time management, prioritizing duties, working with clients, colleagues and supervisors.

    • Ability to get clients to open up to you

    • Must be flexible, ethical, culturally sensitive and respectful in all interactions.

    • Bilingual candidates preferred.

    • Strong critical thinking, communication, and listening skills
