Perennial Construction Solutions is a fast-growing construction company in NYC! We are seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join our team! You will perform activities in procurement and supply chain. Purchasing Assistant responsibilities include researching new vendors, tracking deliveries, and updating order records (e.g. dates, invoices, and discounts.) You will make cost-effective purchases and ensure we maintain a fully stocked inventory.

Responsibilities: 

• 1. Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs
• 2. Research potential vendors

   

• 3. Track orders and ensure timely delivery

   

• 4. Update internal databases with order details
• 5. Create internal orders and purchase order in our system

   

• 6. Update product information and details in our system

   

• 7. Prepare materials bags for delivery drivers to pick up

   

• 8. Take phone orders from management and create Purchase Orders

   

• 9. Administrative procurement duties

Requirements:

• Ability to maintain the highest ethical behavior
• Self-motivated and able to work in a collectively responsible team environment.
• Ability to stay organized and manage priorities in an efficient manner.
• Possess strong negotiation skills and experience
• Proficient in using MS Word, MS Excel,
• Exceptional communication skills necessary, both written and verbal; detail-oriented with good follow-up and follow-thru skills.
• Excellent people and problem-solving skills required
• Knowledge of construction products preferred but not required

Procurement experience not required but preferred. We will be providing training for the position. Opportunity for upward mobility.
