    MANAGER, GLOBAL REVENUE

    PFSweb is currently searching for Manager of Global Revenue Accounting to join the accounting team, reporting to the Director of Global Revenue. This role is responsible for ensuring worldwide compliance and proper application of US GAAP technical accounting rules and requirements in terms of revenue recognition, including accounting analysis and documentation/ communication of complex transactions and developing and leading training and education. In addition, this role is responsible for overseeing billing operations and the revenue close process. This position requires developing a firm understanding of the different business units with a special focus on contractual terms and how they impact revenue recognition. 

     

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensure worldwide compliance with and proper application of US GAAP revenue recognition standards, including developing and leading policies.
    • Lead continuous review and improvement for the revenue accounting processes and procedures.
    • Review contracts for compliance with US GAAP ASC 606 and PFSweb’ s Revenue Recognition Policy to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, identifying potential impacts on revenue and financial risk.
    • Assist in preparation of management reports, including revenue & margin fluctuation analysis and metrics, in close coordination with the FP&A team understanding business insights.
    • Assist with development and evaluation of revenue policies that align with the business.
    • Provide technical accounting advice to key stakeholders during the deal negotiation stage such that revenues are maximized where possible in accordance with external and internal accounting guidance.  
    • Manage the monthly and quarterly revenue accounting close activities and reporting requirements: revenue and deferred revenue accounting activities (reviewing journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations), revenue reporting, revenue/contract analysis, billing and accounts receivables.
    • Manage the daily operations of the contract to cash process.
    • Research and analyze complex revenue recognition issues, utilizing SEC reporting/technical accounting, as necessary.
    • Assist SEC reporting in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements to ensure appropriate disclosures are made in accordance with US GAAP disclosure rules and requirements as it relates to revenue recognition standards. 
    • Oversee certain billing activities
    • Partner with legal, finance, sales and operational personnel as a subject matter expert of revenue accounting providing guidance for contracts and projects to ensure proper revenue recognition and accounting structure.
    • Develop relationships with our external auditors to ensure all quarterly and annual audit requirements are met on a timely basis for revenue recognition processes and procedures.
    • Manage and execute SOX controls around revenue recognition and work effectively with SOX personnel for implementation of related processes. 
    • Responsible for and/or assist with recruitment, performance management, conducting appraisals, and identifying training and development needs of direct reports and the wider team.
    • Work on ad hoc projects as assigned by the Director of Revenue
    • Other accounting projects and special projects as assigned.

     

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, Required
    • CPA and/or Master’s in Business, Accounting, or Finance Preferred
    • 5-7 years of experience, public accounting background or experience in revenue recognition Required (preferably at an international publicly traded company)
    • Minimum of 5+ years in a leadership / managerial position, Required
    • Strong interest and knowledge of US GAAP Revenue recognition standards (ASC 606) and multiple element arrangement accounting
    • Ability to work extended hours as needed
    • Some international travel could be required
