    KINDLY FIND BELOW DETAIL JOB DESCRIPTION:-

    • The Technical Lead / Architect is responsible for application design and implementation -- for the solution as it is being delivered natively on the Android Mobile Platform.
    • While this position includes hands-on development work, it also focuses time on technical leadership, which includes code reviews, coaching engineers, documenting and evolving coding standards and best practices, performing data modeling, participating in advanced troubleshooting of production and pre-production systems, and authoring frameworks and utilities to improve the efficiency of the team as well as the deployed application.

     

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES - EXPECTED

    • Responsible for the technical vision and implementation of a mobile solution on an Android platform. Continuously drives the thought process, the documentation, and the justification of improvements against code, process, and technologies.
    • Lead technical guidance against product roadmaps, phases, milestones, and input against business value.
    • Works productively in a team environment requiring the interaction between on and off-shore teams, customer meetings, and internal cross-team collaboration to get to a common goal. Domains of responsibility are tech/product requirements, architecture design decisions, standards, principles and priorities as it pertains to the Android Native Application.
    • Has implemented several native mobile applications preferably as public facing applications with a user base of over 100,000 active users. Enterprise application development will be considered. Experience from conceptual through store publication required.
    • Experience in active hands-on development of a recent Android application. Can demonstrate appropriate use of IDE, Gradle build tools, and adjunct tooling for Designing, developing, deploying, and troubleshooting builds. Is current on Java / Kotlin technologies as it applies to Android platforms. Is current on Android platform history, architecture, components, and application build processes.
    • Understands the environment of the solution from the mobile app, through the required frameworks and APIs, onto the back end systems.
    • Actively troubleshoots issues as they are discovered. Responsible for leading the team through the solutioning process for problem resolution.
    • Has responsibility for code reviews, pull request processing, and code deployment in a CI/CD environment.
    • Led teams in an agile project engagement pattern. Familiar with Agile ceremonies, sessions, tooling, and processes. Works in an agile delivery pattern of 2 week sprints, 3-4 sprints to a deliverable against an MVP in progress.
    • Responsible for maintaining the project to committed deliverables and dates in the role of a Lead Developer / Architect
    • Mentors and grows skills in others.
    • Excellent verbal and written communications with partners and stakeholders

     

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES - DESIRED

    • Addresses issues of secure mobile app solution development
    • has experience and responsibility in a full-stack deployment
    • DevOps skills from the perspective of repository management, experience with TRUNK BASED DEVELOPMENT approaches.
    • Is an active participant in the Android community.
    • Understands and can demonstrate solution development using Google's Material Design guidelines.
    • Market Research - latest technologies, best practices, conferences, gartner/forrester, forums, network POCs . Pilots, Rapid Test/Evaluation of Technology, and drive spike sprints for quick prototyping
    • Cross platform (iOS and Android) experience a plus.
    • Assists with the creation of User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, evaluation of technical complexity needed to achieve the completion of a feature.

     

    DESCRIPTION:-

    • Minimum 7 years' of progressive experience in software engineering/enterprise architecture/technology leadership across multiple products, systems and/or platforms coupled with strong business acumen and executive presence.
    • Minimum 7 years' working in solutions design and enterprise architecture delivering IT solutions.
      • (alternative) Minimum 4 years' of experience in Enterprise applications, PLM, middle-tier services, database, storage, distributed computing, virtualization and/or application technology.
    • Minimum 4 years' active Android Development and solution deployment.
    • Proven ability executing high-profile projects and providing thought leadership to an organization.

     

    EDUCATION REQUIRED

    • Bachelor's Degree. Bachelor's degree in Business or Technical Discipline or equivalent experience
    • Preferred: Master's Degree.

     

    LOCATION REQUIREMENTS

    • Prefer local to Chicago. Work location is downtown, loop area. Travelers considered.
