    Stamford Hospital is seeking a motivated, self-starter to join our Patient Business Services team! Stamford Health is a non-profit independent healthcare system with more than 3,500 employees committed to compassionately caring for the community and offering a wide-range of high quality health and wellness services.

    The PATIENT RECEIVABLE REPRESENTATIVE will prepare, research, and process cash received for Patient Access Business Services. The ideal candidate will  analyze and apply payments & adjustments for accurate patient account information. The Patient Receivable Representative will update the receivable system with any new, corrected, or pertinent information in relation to resolution of receivable accounts.

    SCHEDULE: MONDAY-FRIDAY, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensure prompt, accurate, and compliant, billing and payments for all third party patient claims
    • Monitor and reconcile daily reports for appropriate account resolution inclusive to credit, debit, and adjustments
    • Analyze contracts & document all action taken on an account
    • Accurate analysis to recover underpayments and resolve outstanding accounts

    Required Skills

    Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills. 

    Familiar with hospital billing and coding. 

    Required Experience

    Two years college, and/or two years prior equivalent experience in a Business and/or Financial is setting. 

    Computer literacy in PC environment.
