    The Contracts Specialist supports the Contracting Team by drafting contracts and other business documents as needed while administering the contract operations workflow and database/tracking systems within PFSweb.  Working with local and international business, technical, and legal personnel, the Contracts Specialist helps facilitate the creation, negotiation, and management of a broad range of contractual and other business documentation, including NDAs, master service agreements, statements of work and vendor agreements.  The Contracts Specialist interacts with all levels of leadership and sales personnel and procurement to see contracts through from inception to execution. The Contracts Specialist seeks ways to improve work product and to help the department function more efficiently while maintaining a high level of customer service.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Create and manage business and contract documents for use between the company and its clients and vendors
    • Work with internal subject matter experts across other departments to understand and draft contracting communications in support of the company, its clients, and its vendors
    • Assist Contracts Team with establishing and documenting contracts based on agreed upon business requirements
    • Assist with negotiation of contract documentation based on PFSweb standards and requirements
    • Assist Contracts Team with contract modifications as needed
    • Maintain accurate contract library and contract activity planner (both electronic and traditional)
    • Produce contract summaries and perform other related research
    • Format, proofread, and finalize contracts for execution
    • Coordinate reporting and archiving of all contract documents
    • Develop and manage internal project timelines to meet delivery deadlines
    • Familiarity with a contract management tool and working within such tool

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

     

    • Bachelor’s degree, required (in English, Technology, or Communications majors preferred)
    • 3+ years of contract creation or business documentation experience, Required
    • Previous experience in contracts management/administration, negotiation, and/or paralegal
    • Contracts Management and/or Paralegal Certifications, Preferred
    • Basic understanding of contract law, types, terms and conditions, legal requirements, and negotiation process
    • Proficiency in drafting contract language without the assistance of content management tools and/or software
