     JOB FUNCTION

     We are looking for an Entry Level Industrial Engineer for our multi-site fulfillment operations. This key position is responsible for leading continuous improvement across the warehouse management network and having responsibilities for (i) performing time studies, (ii) identifying bottlenecks and (iii) preparing and analyzing process flow-charting to identify waste and improve overall profitability. This role reports to the Senior Industrial Engineer.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Time study new and existing processes to determine the bottleneck operation and calculate standard time.
    • Identify potential causes that lead to low productivity, low utilization of labor or equipment, and/or missed shipments.
    • Develop and implement process improvements for increasing efficiency for greater output.
    • Update standard work instructions and maintaining the latest revision in document control through the engineering change process.
    • Support operations on problem areas and determine how to improve the current process by listing all types of waste and develop a plan to eliminate wastes and reduce the bottleneck operation by applying lean techniques.

     QUALIFICATIONS

    • 4-year degree required; Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business or a related discipline preferred.
    • Entry level to two years of Industrial Engineering with an understanding of classical Industrial Engineering skills and techniques.
    • Knowledge in labor standard setting techniques and cost analysis.
    • Understands line and facility layout, assembly line balancing, and material flow.
    • Strong organizational, planning, multi-tasking, problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Proficiency in using basic computer business software packages, including MS Office.
    • Experience in LEAN / Six Sigma / 5S practices, methodologies and tools a plus
    • Bilingual in Spanish a plus
