The SAP Electric Ops Work Management Delivery organization provides SAP IT services to Electric line of business. The organization is responsible for strategic technology planning, roadmap development, solution design, solution delivery and solution support.

     

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Senior ERP Functional Analyst  is responsible for the development of IT solutions for PG&E Work Management functions and has knowledge of phases of the software lifecycle, including business process analysis, systems analysis, business process blueprinting, configuration, development, testing, cut-over preparation, end user training, and go-live activities as well as post go-live system and end user support. He or she is also knowledgeable in different software development methodologies including, but not limited to, Waterfall, Agile and / or SAFe methodology.

     

    Senior ERP Functional Analyst works on complex IT projects with the team of business, functional, technical experts and consultants responsible for developing/enhancing SAP modules and other applications required to support PG&E business systems. At the same time, he or she must be a self-starter, fast learner and able to work independently with minimal supervision. He or she is expected to coach junior designers and contractors on the project, and report back to leadership on overall project design / development status and proactively anticipate any escalations or blockers for the SAP team.

     

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop functional design skills in SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).
    • Design, implement and document IT solutions in SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) for PG&E Work Management functions.
    • Responsible to prepare requirements document, As-Is, To-Be processes and identify gaps.
    • Design system processes to bridge the gap, build prototypes, prepare functional specifications, prepare test plan and test scripts.
    • Perform unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, support user acceptance testing (UAT) and obtain business sign-off.
    • Provide consulting in SAP ERP Systems to the client and IT team members to identify and satisfy the business needs.
    • Play the role of a SAP functional lead in delivering IT solutions.
    • Provide status updates and proactively anticipate escalation and / or blockers.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    MINIMUM:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
    • 4 years’ job-related experience
    • 3 years’ functional experience with SAP or SAP modules
    • 3 years’ experience in project management, IT-Information Technology

     

    DESIRED:

    • Gas and / or Electric utility industry experience.
    • Functional experience with SAP modules; SAP EAM and Supply Chain
    • Design Experience in high complexity project.
    • SAP EAM and Supply Chain certification (Associate or higher).
    • Technical experience with SAP Development, such as UI5, oData and ABAP.
    • Exposure to Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or equivalent Agile methodology.
    • Graduate Degree or equivalent experience.
    • 5 years’ experience in business analysis
    • 5 years’ experience in IT-Information Technology
