We presently have an opportunity for a CO-PILOT in our growing AVIATION DEPARTMENT. This position is accountable to the VP of Aviation for the safe conduct of assigned flights. When assigned to a flight, the Co-Pilot will assist the Captain in the safe operation of the aircraft. The Co-Pilot must ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and foreign regulations, as well as company policies and procedures specified in the company operations manual. Our Flight crews are our company’s most visible representative to the passengers and must act with tact, decorum and professionalism while ensuring a safe, comfortable and efficient operation.
QUALIFIED CO-PILOTS CANDIDATES WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
- Two years of college course work, a degree or equivalent experience
- Current corporate jet experience preferred
- 1000 hours of fixed wing aircraft experience preferred
- No previous aircraft accidents
- First class medical certificate
- Strong customer service
- Detail oriented
- The ability to work a rigorous and flexible schedule
- Present themselves in a professional manner
- Willing to be mentored
- Possess a willing and can-do attitude
- Excellent organization skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Maintains in strict confidence all information relating to The PGA TOUR, its executives and other traveling guests
- Maintains an image that reflects positively on the PGA TOUR
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Check weather, all applicable NOTAMs, and determine fuel and oxygen requirements and all additional factors to ensure the flight is conducted in a safe and responsible manner
- Determine the aircraft weight and balance
- Ensure all flight planning requirements are met
- Ensure aircraft is airworthy, duly registered and the required documentation is on board the aircraft
- Ensure aircraft crew members have valid licenses, medical certificates, passports and visas if and when required
- Complete aircraft pre-flight inspection before each departure as per the manufacturer’s recommendations
- Deviate flight from planned route or destination when operating conditions dictate
- Brief passengers in accordance with requirements specified in the Federal Aviation Regulations
- Operate aircraft in accordance with manufacture’s procedures, aircraft limitations and Standard Operating Procedures
- Ensure compliance with customs, immigration, and cabotage laws when applicable
- Complete all post flight duties
- Perform ancillary duties as required
- Maintain appropriate communication links at all times when on duty
- Assist the Captain in duties and responsibilities to ensure each trip is completed in a safe and successful fashion
PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Position requires sitting for extended periods
- Lifting up to 70 pounds is required on occasion
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:
- Rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and on-call status are routine
- Extensive domestic and occasional international travel is required
- Potential for 75-100 over-night trips per year
- Team members are required to maintain permanent residency within 60 minutes of the PGA TOUR aviation facility located at the St. Augustine Florida airport
