    TPC Sawgrass, located in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, is home to THE PLAYERS Championship, the birthplace of the TPC Network, and the backdrop to PGA TOUR headquarters. Within the Mediterranean-Style, 77,000 square foot clubhouse, we provide our PGA TOUR Players, Families, Executives, Members and Guests with truly memorable culinary and service experiences in multiple dining outlets, beautifully appointed banquet and meeting spaces, and an expansive gallery. For the golf enthusiast, we provide a Food and Beverage experience which rivals our two PGA TOUR championship courses, including the famous Stadium Course, both designed by world-renowned architect Pete Dye.

     

    TPC Sawgrass is currently seeking a team player to join our Food & Beverage staff as a full-time BANQUET CAPTAIN. 

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Ensure that all food and beverages are served according to specifications as prescribed by banquet contract
    • Ensure the staff is properly trained and monitored in service techniques and operational procedures
    • Maintain a positive promotional environment for our Banquet and Special Event services
    • Ensure quantity levels of food and beverage products and maintain quality standards in production, service facilities, and to member/guest satisfaction
    • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings prior to each event and relay information pertinent to the day’s events
    • Assist in the set-up and break-down of banquet tables, chairs, display tables, theme decorations, and other equipment as required by the Banquet Event Order
    • Assist in service delivery to ensure our guests have an exceptional event experience

     

    QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

    • A passion for impeccable service
    • High school education or equivalent
    • Thorough knowledge of food and beverage service operational procedures as would normally be acquired through 2-3 years of directly related work experience
    • 1-2 years of leadership experience, preferably with a staff of 20 or more
    • Ability to work daytime, evenings and/or weekends
    • Must be detail oriented, organized, and have the ability to manage multiple priorities
    • Must be a self-starter and have a positive attitude with a passion for service excellence and member satisfaction
    • Must be a team player
    • Must be at least 21 years of age
