We presently have an opportunity for a TICKETING SUPPORT SPECIALIST. This position assists in the day-to-day ticket operations and support for assigned PGA Tour Tournaments. This includes serving as liaison between events and TicketMaster, PGA TOUR and other affiliates, as well as responsibility for end to end ticketing support and execution for assigned tournaments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required in Sports Administration, Business or a related field
- Four years of experience in the computerized ticketing industry or related field required, experience in ticket management for a professional sports organization preferred
- Archtics and Ticketmaster ticketing systems required
- Salesforce/Kore CRM systems preferred, but not required
- Required to work extended or irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
- Excellent communication, time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure; and to meet established goals and deadlines
- Must be comfortable interacting with the general public and co-workers in a fast-paced atmosphere
- Knowledge of principles and practices of cashier and accounting procedures
- Extensive Travel required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide day-to-day leadership, mentoring, and support for assigned tournaments, including ticket system support, customer service, event communication, and reporting
- Maintain strong relationships with assigned tournament staff and Ticketmaster
- Act as subject matter expert and owner of the Ticketmaster Archtics software
- Work with assigned tournaments on event/package setup, ticket manifest buildout, reporting, invoicing, troubleshooting, and overall ticket operations
- Assist sales team(s) at assigned tournaments with CRM integration and ticket fulfillment
- Oversee event coordination for onsite support for the ticket office, will-call, advanced sales and gate setup for assigned tournaments
- Lead and train event ticket staff and volunteers during assigned tournaments for will-call, gate, and ticket customer service
- Assist in the development of ticket strategies and execute against each tournament’s unique strategic marketing plan
- Align with analytics group to mine ticketing database for insights that will create incremental sales at each tournament
- Develop analysis for insights on ticketing strategies
- Support gathering, processing, and presenting analytics to relevant constituents (including tournaments and Senior Management)
- Implement new ideas to improve the overall ticket operations at assigned tournaments
- Special projects or other duties as assigned
