    Mueller Water Products, Inc., is a leading manufacturer and marketer of products and services used in the transmission, distribution and measurement of water in North America. Our broad product and service portfolio includes engineered valves, fire hydrants, metering products and systems, leak detection and pipe condition assessment.     This position is a part of Mueller’s Development Program. The program is 2 years in duration (may vary based on employee’s start date), and consists of rotational experiences, formal mentor, and a standardized training curriculum; all of which are designed to provide a broad range of experiences in various facets to accelerate development in desired function. Rotation location will be assigned based on business need and career aspirations.

    Required Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Organization Development, Business Administration, or Psychology
    • Relevant work experience
    • Minimum 3.0 GPA required

  • Qualifications

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • 3-5 years related experience and/or training in hydraulic systems, electrical, air conditioning, and pneumatics
    • Previous experience doing preventative maintenance inspections and scheduling
    • Previous welding, fabrication, and heavy equipment operation experience
    • Strong mechanical skills and the ability to problem solve
    • Ready-mix industry knowledge or related industry a plus
    • Dedication to maintain the highest standard of safety in all aspects of the job
    • CDL preferred or ability to obtain a CDL license
    • Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and repair, certification preferred
    • Dedication to maintain the highest standard of safety in all aspects of the job
    • Must provide own tools

     

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT

    • Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times
    • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required
    • Working outdoors with exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold and other outdoor environmental conditions, constant standing and walking, climbing, working from heights and lifting up to 75 lbs.
    • Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and overtime
    • Ability to pass pre-employment processes including criminal background check, physical and drug screen
