Responsibilities: • Establish and maintain relationships with realtors, bank officers, builders, and the community at large in order to retain existing and attract new business • Interface with realtors, processors, and underwriters to ensure a smooth transaction while overseeing all customer interactions • Exceed our production standards by maintaining an active pipeline • Communicate a thorough understanding of different loan programs and closing costs to help prospective buyers make a decision • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of all required documents from borrowers, loan officers, title companies and other related industry professionals • Excellent constant communication with clients, RE Agents, and all involved parties • Loan file set up: Run AUS Findings, follow up with clients, review and correct Estimated Fees worksheets, Estimated Settlement Statements, and CD’s • Assist with analyzing borrower’s credit and financial scenario, determining appropriate loan product(s), and obtaining accurate AUS findings • Assist in pricing loans • Reviewing conditions as they come in before submitting back to the processor • Documentation follow-up and tracking (contacting borrowers, title companies, real estate offices, appraisers, lenders, etc.) • Work weekends as often as needed • Be willing to learn to grind • Be willing to adhere to a proven process that is already in place Qualifications: • Banking, business, real estate, or related Bachelor’s degree required • Current NMLS State License or Federal NMLS Registration • Several years of experience in real estate, mortgage origination, or lending required • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, superb interpersonal and customer service skills, and exceptional decision-making ability • Strong understanding of company loan policies and guidelines, as well as all federal and state regulations • Must have maintained your NMLS license. DRE License is preferred but can be obtained after starting • Understand a variety of loans such as FHA, VA, USDA, conventional, fixed / adjustable, bridge, non-conforming, FNMA and FHLMC, and HELOC • 2 to 5 years of experience as a loan officer, LOA, or as a loan processor in the mortgage industry • Must be proficient with Calyx Point, DU, and LP • Must be able to work 40+ hours per week at our office in Carlsbad, CA • Must have a good understanding of lending guidelines and loan process • Must have a good understanding of how to read income, assets credit report documents • Must be a master communicator. Exceptional decision-making abilities, superior written and verbal communication skills, and superb interpersonal and customer service skills • Must be able to work under strict timelines and stressful conditions Compensation: $110,000 - $180,000
