    Bogin Munns, and Munns is a full-service law firm with over 40 attorneys practicing in 11 offices throughout Central Florida. We are looking for an experienced PI Pre-Suit Legal Assistant to join our talented team and build our increasingly busy practice located in Kissimmee, Florida. The schedule is Monday – Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
    This role will require interaction with coworkers at all levels of our company, as well as with clients.     Job Description

    ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Assist Case managers on day-to-day tasks relating to PI practice pre-suit.
    • Administrative duties include, but are not limited to, coordinating meetings with clients, scheduling, answering clients’ calls, and working closely with case managers in moving clients’ PI cases forward pre-suit, maintaining, and organizing electronic case files, receiving, and sorting incoming and outgoing mail, and updating files with case status and information.
    • Mail lien letters to health insurance, worker’s compensation, and other third-party insurance companies.
    • Mail Letters of representations to insurance companies and obtaining policy documents.
    • Compiling and organizing documents, preparing binders and/or folders as needed.
    • Requesting and organizing medical records, bills, documents, and other materials.
    • Maintaining strict confidentiality of organizational and client information.
    • Communicate with clients in-person, over the phone, and via email.
    • Under attorneys and case managers’ supervision, collect payment checks, negotiate medical balances, clear escrow account and close files.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
    • Highly organized, detail oriented with great empathy and interpersonal skills and a strong customer-service orientation.
    • Must exercise sound judgment, work independently, and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with spoken and written fluency in English.
    • Must be able to multitask and handle high-stress, sensitive situations with a high degree of confidentiality.
    • Ability to handle and keep client information confidential.
    • This job requires the use and exercise of independent judgment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Filevine, Lead Docket
    • The ability to work well under pressure, and to learn and retain new information.
    • Excellent planning and reporting skills.
    • Reliable and dependable.
    • Ability to type at least 45 WPM with excellent writing skills while navigating through multiple software applications.
    • Excellent proof-reading skills and the ability to identify grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.

    PREFERRED SKILLS
    • Bilingual (Spanish)
    • Desire to learn new disciplines and become more knowledgeable and proficient in additional practice areas.
    • Possesses familiarity with legal terminology and business practices.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office and Cloud-based Lead Management & File Management Systems.

    EDUCATION
    • Certification as a legal assistant/paralegal (preferred but not required).
    • Associates or Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required).
    • Law office experience (preferred but not required).
