SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Programming experience in Siemens Tecnomatix Plant Simulation and SimTalk is required. • Minimum of 3+years' experience in developing simulation models. • Experience developing material flow Discrete Event Simulation is a plus. • Experience in manufacturing engineering environment preferred. • Knowledge of different type of transportation systems such as AGV, fork truck, tugger, conveyor and control logic are preferred. • Experience with Excel (VBA a plus). • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills. • Candidate must have basic AutoCAD skill, strong MS Office suite skill, and able to succeed in a high paced environment with minimal oversight. RESPONSIBILITIES • Develop, verify, and validate simulation models utilizing dynamic simulation software (preferably Plant Simulation from Siemens) • Production line simulations. • Conveyors systems (Power & Free, Skids, Monorails, etc). • Material Handling systems such as fork trucks, tuggers, AGV, AGC, etc. • Gantry/Bridge Cranes and ASRS systems. • Develop an asset library for items listed above. • Perform delivery routes analysis, and operator efficiency analysis. • Throughput capacity/bottleneck and downtime analysis. • Vehicle/carrier/pallet resource optimization. • Storage capacity determination/sensitivity analysis. • Develop reports summarizing simulation findings and suggestions.
