  • Responsibilities

    The Data Architect role is responsible for leading a comprehensive assessment of our client’s data management infrastructure, transitioning from the current “as-is” state to a future “to-be” state. This role will be pivotal in collaborating with the client organization to understand their data systems, identifying gaps, requirements, and objectives, and designing and implementing solutions to optimize data management practices.

    Responsibilities: • Conduct a thorough evaluation of the existing data management infrastructure, including data sources, storage systems, data processing pipelines, and data governance mechanisms.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business objectives related to data management.

    • Develop a detailed roadmap outlining the steps required to transition from the current "as-is" state to the desired "to-be" state, considering scalability, efficiency, and data integrity.

    • Design data models, schemas, and architecture for the future state, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and organizational goals.

    • Evaluate and recommend technologies, tools, and frameworks to support the envisioned data architecture, taking into account factors such as performance, cost, and ease of maintenance.

    • Define data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance, security, and quality throughout the data lifecycle.

    • Lead the implementation of data management solutions, working closely with development teams and stakeholders to ensure successful deployment and adoption.

    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

    • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of the implemented data management solutions, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.

    • Communicate project progress, findings, and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders through regular reports, presentations, and workshops.

    Qualifications: • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.

    • Proven experience (7 years) as a data architect or in a similar role, focusing on data management and architecture.

    • In-depth knowledge of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing concepts.

    • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, translating business requirements into technical solutions.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

    • Familiarity with data governance frameworks, privacy regulations, and industry standards.

    • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.

    • Certifications such as CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) or DAMA (Data Management Association) certification are a plus.
