DELIVERY ROUTER

SCHEDULE: MONDAY - FRIDAY

The role of the delivery router is to direct delivery activity in accordance with Viking’s customer service philosophy while developing and maintaining maximum efficiency. 

The job duties and responsibilities include:

• Analyze delivery activities on a daily basis to optimize truck routes by territory.
• Assist management to improve route efficiency.
• Monitor OE as information builds throughout the shift, take appropriate action to change routes, add trucks, ensuring routes are completed on time.
• Manage weekly and monthly mileage reports.
• Support sales staff with special delivery requests and on time deliveries.
• Assist warehouse with picking, checking, and loading of trucks daily as directed by the shift manager or lead.

Required Skills

• Works closely with other associates and other departments.

Required Experience

• Minimum two years warehouse experience
• Transportation/Fleet Management experience preferred
