SMB Solution Architect
The LiveArea Solutions Architect reports to the leader of the Solutions business unit. This role has three general functions:
- Top line and existing book of business sales support
- Internal and external SMB solutioning
- Solution consulting
It also includes validating LiveArea’s SMB solution(s) maturity against industry leading offerings and trends and serving as a subject matter expert for one or more of the specialty areas below.
- SMB high-level architecture and business model solutioning
- SMB Commerce Platform solutioning (Magento, Shopify and others as the vertical grows)
Responsibilities
Sales Support:
- Works with Sales and Client Partner teams to grow our SMB service offerings
- Leads SMB solution positioning, pitch and proposal baseline content/asset development
- Participates in SMB new business pitches and proposals and helps drive growth by quickly understanding needs and pain points, and proposes innovative, practical solutions to client/prospect challenges
Internal and External Solutioning:
- Stays current on SMB industry trends and the competitive landscape to provide insight on ways to improve holistic commerce experiences
- Defines and refines internal SMB solutions and offerings, including defining, scoping and developing delivery models for each SMB solution
- Solves complex internal and client business problems with simple, industry-leading experience and design solutions
Solution Consulting:
- Leads and participates in consultative client activities to define and design valuable client solutions based on LiveArea’s offerings
- Effectively communicates recommendations to senior-level client executives via powerful story driven presentations
- Runs point, internally and externally, as a named expert over a defined area of SMB knowledge specialty
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (5+ years) education and experience in an ecommerce consulting area of specialty
- Experience within the Health & Beauty and Fashion and Apparel industries
- Diverse portfolio of client engagements from varying industries and sizes is a plus
- Consultative thinking - thinking through and solving problems step by step; often has to look beyond the obvious solution to a problem and dig deeper for the best solution
- Strong communication skills particularly with regard to translating comprehensive commerce solution requirements
