    THIS IS TO FILL AN ON-CALL POSITION IN WHITTIER, CA FOR A DAY WORK SHIFT

     

    The ENTERPRISE SCHEDULING REGISTRAR performs all tasks related to patient scheduling and pre-registration in the Perinatal Center in an efficient, accurate and hospitable manner to ensure that patient, physician and hospital needs are met. Obtains insurance authorization, chart preparation, faxing, filing, and managing the phones. Engaging in performance improvement activities as needed and serves as a communication facilitator for area of responsibility.

    Required Experience

    REQUIRED:

    • MUST HAVE A MINIMUM ONE (1) YEAR OF WORK EXPERIENCE IN A DOCTOR'S OFFICE SCHEDULING PATIENTS OR HOSPITAL REGISTRATION/ADMITTING
    • Knowledge of Insurance and Authorization process
    • HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR G.E.D. IS REQUIRED; evidence of continuing education preferred.
    • Medical terminology or demonstrated proficiency within six months of hire date (via a course or self- guided study program)
    • Telephone experience with good phone etiquette
    • Bilingual skills in Spanish/ Chinese preferred.

     

    PREFERRED:

    • Experience with Enterprise Scheduling, eMD, Amb eHR, View-Point, Access Manager, Sunrise Radiology/SRIS, Cisco Finesse, Alscripts  Amb.Practice Manager, eCare Next, hpm(health payment), MS4
