    Stamford Hospital is seeking an individual to join the Perioperative Department as a Full Time Operating Room Assistant. This is a great opportunity to grow within the healthcare industry.

     

    The Operating Room Assistant will work under the direct supervision of the Charge Nurse and other medical staff.  The Operating Room Assistant is responsible for the preparation and breakdown of the operating room (OR). They will assist in transporting patients to and from the OR, sterilizing equipment, assembling surgical beds and stocking case carts with surgical instruments.

     

    Schedule: Days, 6:00am-2:00pm, flexibility to work 11:00am-7:00pm as needed, rotating weekends and holidays. Possibility to work on call on the weekends.

     

    Frequent exposure to moderate to heavy physical activity such as pushing, pulling, lifting, twisting, reaching and bending requiring exertions of 20-50 lbs. of force. Constant mobility must be expected. 

     

     

    Required Skills

    1. High school diploma or equivalent

    2. Previous experience in healthcare preferred
