Encon Safety is currently seeking a Part-Time Customer Service Representative is responsible to support the Field and Inside Sales staff, expedite sales and purchase orders, inventory control and perform various administrative functions for the branch. WE WOULD LIKE FOR THIS INDIVIDUAL TO WORK APPROXIMATELY FOUR HOURS PER DAY OR TWO TO THREE FULL DAYS PER WEEK.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include the following; other duties may be assigned)
- Interface with the Sales team
- Expedite shipments for suppliers as directed by the sales team
- Review open orders and if overdue, determine any actions required to bill
- Respond to customer and vendor inquiries
- Perform various office administration duties as directed
- Distribute vendor acknowledgements to PO writers
- Place outbound calls to customers and vendors as directed
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts as required at the branch
- Advise and follow up with customers and the sales team on quotation issues

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Highschool diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D.); or
- 2-3 years of Counter, Inside or Field Sales related experience and/or training; or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experienced and proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook)
- Must possess strong planning, organizational and execution skills
- Must have the ability to set goals and meet deadlines
- Must demonstrate ownership of assigned responsibilities and ability to get the job done correctly and in a timely manner
- Must possess a proactive and positive team approach to problem resolution
- Must have the ability to establish strong working relationships with co-workers and management
- Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to write business correspondence
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple tasks at the same time
- Proficient in utilizing the Eclipse Operation System
